Will Tablet/Phone Replace the PC?
Well as we can see the technology is always improving and probably they will, but not yet. Laptops already replaced PCs, because of the mobility and because they offer the same productivity, speed and comfort of a PC. Now better improvement of a laptop is the tablet which is more transportable, easier to handle sleeker and better design. We could see powerful processors built inside the tablets and smart phones, 3D games and apps that work similar than the software made for PCs and Laptops. Now the only thing which by my opinion is bad about the tablet computer is the keyboard or the small size of some keyboards that some people that are wasting their time writing have difficulties using the thing. But maybe in future if the tablet technology improves and probably it will. People will narrate everything they want to write on their own language. This will remove the need for a keyboard. This technology exists today but it needs improving.
It’s amazing really to see every component integrated in such a small device. Now if we could replace our whole PC motherboard and manage to connect the screen, keyboard and mouse only to this device it could be some kind of alternative to PCs. We are working in home like on normal desktop computer and take our finished work with us when we finish. Tablets have great data storing memory, ram memory, powerful processors. And in the future years there will be more improvements which could make this more available.
Now the only thing which keeps people from doing this is the higher price when you compare PCs and Tablets with same abilities.
Today mostly tablets and smart phones are used for social media, making appointments, moving around in different countries, navigation, traveling and other social stuff but are useless for working, developing programs, games, writing, and video editing etc.
In the future tablets and phones will probably replace the PCs.
